weekend
refuge de Bostan - 7/8 february 2004
Leaving a hamlet above Samoens, the walk starts in the forest and leads to a beautiful valley where we reach the refuge. The chamois come close and the footprints of wild hares are everywhere. After a night in a welcoming refuge, we walk to the top of the Tete de Golese, which gives us a superb panoramic view as far as the Mont Blanc.
This 2-day trip ends by walking down snow-covered slopes to mountain pastures dotted with old chalets back into the forest.
auberge des Molières - 6/7 march 2004
Leaving from Autrans in the Vercors, a wooded ridge takes us to the inn, which is situated on a huge plateau far from any noise. The innkeeper, a shepherd and photographer, tempts us with a delicious dinner.
The next day we continue along the plateau to the ridge that circles teams of huskies pulling sleighs.
